Role Summary

Responsibilities
Drive Wintel/Cloud team adherence to regional SOW operational KPIs and relationship building across other team Wintel/Cloud team capacity planning, review and assessment in adherence to the SOW across all regions.
Raise concerns on irregularities on capacity utilization (over or under utilization) Wintel/Cloud team capability building to ensure all team members are able to support all regions and adapt to the relevant Wintel/Cloud technological skills.
Communicate capability building and/or escalate capability concerns of resources to the executive team
Providing subject matter expertise in the form of non-functional requirements to projects and strategic virtualization initiatives
Attending to ongoing compliance requirements – advise on Virtual Infrastructure related security fixes, identification and treatment of platform risks, etc
Good knowledge on out of box solutions like Nutanix, Veeam, PAAS, SAAS and on regional architecture, design and integration across virtualized platform (private and public cloud)
Able to design and influence Architect team on virtual platform key decisions
Work with vendors, customers and provide Road Map strategy for all virtual platforms
Drive the implementation of global standards on VMWare/Wintel/Cloud platform
Pro-active in ensuring stability, response time and operational consistency over the Virtual Infrastructures
Contribute to continuous-improvement cycle for all functional/operational matters relating to all Virtual Platform,
including; Process automation, Adhere to the ITIL disciplines and Technical & process solutions for complex operational scenarios
Working closely with partner teams (Systems, Network and Security) to deliver best-of-breed customer service outcomes
Senior escalation point for all virtualization-related technical matters globally across the organization
Lead all the problem records of Virtual Platforms and own them till resolution
Provide Life Cycle Management Strategy for all Virtual Platforms ( VMware/Nutanix etc., )
Prepare Baseline Matrix ( Firmware & Device Drivers ) for all virtual Platforms
Participate to the search and qualification of related virtual solutions such as monitoring/management/administration tools
Provide or provide standards for regular reports on activity, quality and performance of these Wintel/VMWare/Cloud System Infrastructures
Ensure appropriate documentation, including procedures for the Operations departments
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field
Must have 10 years experience in infrastructure
Must have 5+ years of experience in virtualization (VMware ESXi), layer 2/3 networking, Cloud and storage analysis and troubleshooting
Administrative knowledge on deploying VMs into virtual networks and configuring it for optimum performance and Security standards
Experience in configuration of VM back-up and providing failover recovery in respect to the RTO and RPO
Experience in Setup and configuration of the storage (incl. containers), Secured data access, archiving and back-up
Experience in deploying and configuring virtual networks, orchestrating routing paths/hybrid cloud and managing public and private IP addresses
Experience in Azure Active Directory (hybrid AD) and Reducing surface attack on all azure resources
Deep technical subject matter expertise and practical experience in the following VMware technologies:
Minimum VCP qualified (5.x or above)
ESX, vSphere, Center
VMWare ‘enterprise’ feature-set (DRS & HA)
vCenter Operation Manager
Site Recovery Manager (Latest version)
Deep technical subject matter expertise and practical experience in the following Nutanix technologies:
