Role Summary

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional support for SAP MM Purchasing processes within SAP ECC 6.0.
  • Manage and resolve support tickets through ServiceNow, ensuring timely issue resolution and adherence to service levels.
  • Support purchasing-related activities, including:
    • Purchase Order (PO) creation and maintenance
    • Buyer setup and onboarding
    • Integration with internal and external applications
    • Purchasing master data and process support
  • Analyze business requirements and serve as the Business Analyst for enhancement and project initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify process improvements and system optimization opportunities.
  • Prepare functional specifications and requirements documentation for ABAP development and system configuration changes.
  • Coordinate testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Support ongoing and future projects related to application integrations and procurement process automation.
  • Work closely with technical teams, developers, and business users to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide user support, training, and documentation as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP MM Purchasing in SAP ECC 6.0 (On-Premise).
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end procurement and purchasing processes.
  • Experience supporting Purchase Orders (POs), purchasing master data, and buyer management.
  • Proven experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional specifications.
  • Experience working with ABAP developers to deliver system enhancements and solutions.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP Ariba is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting application integration projects.
  • Exposure to procurement automation initiatives and supplier collaboration platforms.
  • Knowledge of SAP MM configuration and troubleshooting.
