Sr. Analyst Programmer – Back-end Developer (.Net)

Participate in feature development and maintenance of NOS microservice platform, related .NET APIs, underlying SQL Server entities, and business logic
Keep the code base healthy. Issue GIT pull requests and participate in code review
Assist with the NOS MS team’s level 3 software response with timely resolution of issues
Self-test code prior to releasing to production and lead production releases in partnership with the QA team
Apply stories in Jira in a timely manner
Look for opportunities for improving to the system, its architecture, and its underlying code base
Participate in agile ceremonies including estimation, standups, grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives
Apply updates to stories in Jira
Regularly update user stories and tasks to reflect the current status of the sprint
Work closely with business owners to provide best possible estimates and timelines
Self-test stories prior to engaging the QA team
Troubleshoot and resolve defects identified by the QA team and customers
Work closely with the product owner to understand the requirements and scope of work
Stay current with industry trends and incorporate best-of-breed technology, patterns, and methodologies
Nurture a culture of team excellence with openness, transparency, and close collaboration

Bachelor’s or College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, and/or a related field
Must have at least 5 years of combined software development experience on any set of platforms or languages
3 years of experience building applications that run on SQL Server
3 years of .NET experience with C# as the primary language
2 years of experience with JavaScript.
2 years of experience with .NET API development.
1 year of experience with GitHub including accepting and submitting pull requests
1 year of experience with agile software development processes
Familiarity with entity framework
Familiarity with .NET Core preferred
Solid foundational software knowledge (testing, version control, and concepts such as DRY and SOLID)
Strong knowledge of web fundamentals (HTTP, response codes, REST.)
Good communication skills in English
Ability to collaborate and work closely with others
Ability to document and explain technical details clearly and concisely
Willingness to learn new patterns and technologies
