Role Summary

The EDI Gentran and IBM Sterling Analysts will be mainly responsible for providing analysis and programming, and support to ESSILOR clients primarily using EDI Gentran and IBM Sterling Technology. The resource will work in a team environment with responsibility for the on-time delivery of multiple customer projects, maintaining communication with the applications IT customers keeping them updated with the status of their requests and proactively escalating any issues that cannot be resolved within the established SLA’s.

Responsibilities

Ability to support and develop applications based on issues raised by project managers/stakeholders
Able to detect the root cause of issues
Able to implement preventive actions for recurring issues and find effective solutions to fix them

Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in analysis and development using EDI Gentran or IBM Sterling technology
Strong foundation in EDI/Sterling messages, concepts, and processes
Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., SFTP)
Knowledge of basic SQL commands and scripting
Coordinates with the QC team for testing of work output
Writes and maintains programming and project documentation based on provided specifications
Understands and uses CMMI-defined processes and documentation
Continuously improves knowledge through reading and self-study
Responsible for conducting brown bag training sessions for the team

Soft Skills Qualifications

Familiar with relational database concepts and SQL
Strong communication skills in English
Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
Must have excellent communication skills and be service-oriented
Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork and a favorable image of the company
Effectively manage and solve complex problems through strong problem-solving skills
Work cooperatively in a team environment
