Responsibilities
Responsible for defining data requirements and structure for the application, modeling and designing the application data structure, storage, and integration
Involve in working with data architecture principles and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and integrity
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data requirements, ensuring data integrity and consistency
Design and model the application data structure, storage, and integration, ensuring scalability, performance, and security
Develop and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories
Provide technical guidance and support to development teams on data architecture and design decisions
Implement data governance practices and standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Overseeing the integration of various data sources and systems to enable seamless data flow and accessibility across the organization
Managing and optimizing databases, ensuring high performance, availability, and security
Defining and managing the metadata that describes the organization’s data assets, their structure, and relationships
Collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and data scientists to understand their data requirements and provide appropriate solutions
Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and evaluating their potential for enhancing the organization’s data architecture and processes
Providing leadership and guidance to junior data professionals, and playing a key role in shaping the organization’s data-related initiatives
Effectively communicating technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders, including senior management and business leaders
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in data management or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering successful data architecture solutions
Must have 5 years of experience in data architecture principles
Extensive experience in data modeling and design, data integration, and data quality management
Experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin or ER/Studio
Knowledge of Big Data technologies, cloud computing, and data governance
Proficiency in data management tools and technologies, such as SQL, ETL, and data warehousing
Strong understanding of data modeling and database design concepts
Knowledge of data governance frameworks and practices
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, and a deep understanding of data architecture best practices
