SGV Launches Innovative Flexible Benefits Program to Boost Employee Engagement

SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co. (SGV & Co.) - the Philippines’ largest auditing firm and Philippine member firm of global accounting firm Ernst & Young (EY) - has recently signed up with Xurpas subsidiary, STORM Technologies.

For the second consecutive year, EY was named the world’s most attractive professional services employer in Universum’s annual World’s Most Attractive Employer ranking. In keeping with this philosophy, SGV is leading the industry in providing one-of-a-kind benefits through STORM Flex, a pioneering HR platform which allows employees to maximize their benefits.

According to a survey conducted by Gallup, engagement in the workplace has decreased, especially among millennials. With an average attrition rate of 15% in the Philippines, one of the top challenges is keeping employees motivated and engaged. Many HR studies have shown that giving benefits makes for a more productive and inspired employee. As a leader in HR technology, STORM developed Flex as one of its flagship products to answer the needs of the changing workforce.

Flex is an advanced flexible benefits platform that will enable SGV employees to convert their unused benefits such as vacations leaves into ‘flex’ points. They can use these points to purchase items in an exclusive online marketplace with over 14,000 products and services, backed by a managed merchant ecosystem, full customer support operations, and analytics.

“We are excited to partner with SGV, the top auditor of the country’s leading corporations. Through Flex, SGV will have a new capability to fulfill the diverse needs of its multigenerational workforce. It will increase employee engagement and retention, especially the younger generations like the millennials and the incoming Generation Z,” says Marcy Venezuela, President & CEO of Xurpas Enterprise. “By having the power of choice, employees will be able to select benefits that are truly valuable to them.”

A subsidiary of Xurpas Inc., STORM provides HR solutions as part of the solutions portfolio of Xurpas Enterprise, the country’s leading provider of digital innovation platforms for businesses in the areas of employee engagement and retention, digital advertising, IT and managed services, and data sciences. It consists of seven subsidiaries with operations throughout Asia, servicing top local and Fortune 500 companies.
