Role Summary

Responsibilities
Maintain under operational conditions the current Linux platforms and the new platforms in respect of the Support processes.
Build, deploy, and administer/manage the current and future platforms on-premise or in Cloud
Operational support on troubleshooting, incidents, and problem management, and reporting and communication
Assist new implementations of all system infrastructure components such as physical and virtual servers, on-premise and in the Cloud, middleware components (backup, scheduling, monitoring, etc.), and security
Proactive in ensuring stability, response time, operational consistency, and lifecycle over the Linux operating systems.
Optimize the infrastructure in terms of performance and automation
Ensure appropriate documentation, including procedures for Level 2 and Level 3 support
Contribute to search and qualification for new solutions
Provide monthly reports on activity, quality, and performance
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of Senior Enterprise Linux experience
Minimum RHCE certified
Experience working with high-density HPE Enterprise Hardware – (E.g HPE MoonShot and Proliant Servers)
Extensive experience working with Linux automation on a large scale in IaC format. (E.g., Ansible, Azure/AWS APIs, Terraform)
Experience in managing Microsoft Azure-based cloud platform.
Extensive experience with Linux deployment on a large scale
Extensive knowledge in at least one of the major UNIX/Linux scripting languages (Shell/Perl/Python).
Experience creating Linux binary packages from source (RPM/DPKG)
Enterprise Linux administration skills, preferably based on RedHat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, and Debian/Ubuntu LTS.
Experience with Linux virtualization, especially QEMU (Linux KVM)
Extensive experience in automation of Linux system monitoring (E.g. Zabbix/Nagios/Prometheus/Icinga/Cacti)
Extensive experience with automated Linux OS and application installation. (e.g. Kickstart)
Working knowledge of FreeBSD
Working knowledge with Enterprise SIEM (E.g., Splunk).
Working knowledge of embedded Linux.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
Working knowledge of Azure AD and SAML-based Single Sign-On solutions.
Working knowledge with VMWare.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and desktop operating systems.
Working knowledge of IT security concepts.
Detailed understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts
High-level understanding of Web Services / SOA architecture, SaaS, and PaaS in Microsoft Azure.
Experience of Thin/Zero Client architecture
Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud architecture
Experience with Linux Kernel internals
Other UNIX/UNIX-like OS experience
Experience in supporting UNIX/Linux systems running SAP
